Review: Lakme Absolute Skin Mattreal Mousse

Hey Guys.

So I know it has been quite a while since I have blogged. I just have been very busy with life. :P
I still am trying to spend at least 10 hours a week on blogger but because of my busy lifestyle I somehow fail. :p
But, I still am trying and will try to post as frequent as possible.

So, Today I am going to be reviewing a product. It is the Lakme Absolute Skin Mattreal Mousse. I have been using for a really long time and no I think I can review it perfectly :D

Product Description:
Lakme Absolute
Lasts upto 16 hours. Feather light texture. SPF 8.
Mattreal Skin Natural Mousse.

Feather light texture with a mousse to powder finish for breathable natural skin.

Price: Rs 725/- for 25 grams.

Shell life: 24 Months.

So, I have used one whole pot of this and this has worked quite decent. It has a very light to medium coverage. So, If you have a serious issue of acne, then you must use a concealer. However, for everyday use, it is perfect. It is very light and feels like there is nothing on your face. It evens out the skin and gives it a very flawless finish.

It claims to last for 16 hours. That is not true. It will stay on your skin for 16 hours sure, but makeup fades and oxidizes. I have very oily skin and it is very humid in the place I live, So mine oxidizes almost immediately, depending on how humid it is.  It has a citrus fragrance just like every Lakme product, and I personally have no problems with their fragrance. This fragrance also doesn't last long. If fades as soon as you apply it to you skin and is completely gone by the time you blend, which take absolutely no time at all.

It is perfect for oily to combination skin types. If you have dry skin, then avoid this. You can definitely use it but you have to moisturize your skin loads. I have used this every single day. It is very light, and makes your skin soft. It has a useless SPF of 8. I don't know why it does, but I wear a sunscreen prior to my makeup, with a higher SPF because I spend a lot of time in the sun, so I have to make sure that my skin stays protected.

Since my skin is like butter greasy, I set it with some powder, but you don't have to do it if your skin is normal. It is a cream formula which sets into a powder.

If you are looking for something that has more coverage and lasts much longer, then avoid this. This is good for an everyday natural look. But if you are going for a party or a night out, or for a special occasion then go for a better foundation like their Face stylist from the Absolute range.

All I can say in the end is that it is perfect foundation for everyday use of you want a light coverage. Perfect for school/college/work. But if you extremely oily skin and you live in a very humid area, then definitely use a primer and then set it with a translucent powder otherwise it will oxidize and turn orange which happens to me pretty much everyday. If you have extreme dark circles and tiny zits, then go ahead and use a concealer along with the mouse.

Pros;
Light
Non-oily
Long-lasting(not 16 hours)
East to blend
Looks natural

Cons;
Oxidizes and fades
Had very less SPF
No ingredients list :(

On the whole, I will give this product a 3.5/5

I will recommend this to those who have oily-combination skin and a looking fr a product and that is light on the skin and on coverage as well. But, if you live in humid places, then definitely use a primer and a setting powder.

So that's it for this time, I hope you found this post helpful, if you did then please share it with your friends and give it a '+1'. If you have already used this then let me know in the comments how it worked for you and subscribe for more.

I will see you guys soon(hopefully :P)
Until then take care
Bye <3
