Shell Life
2 Years

I always thought that BB creams were very light in consistency. Turns out not all. This is a creamy one. Since I have very oily skin, I did not find this very useful. I only used this once or twice and then I stopped using this. Sometimes when I had horrid dark circles, then I would use this just under my eyes. But because of my extremely oily skin, this started creasing. So it was my first and last purchase of this cream.

This cream has the standard smell of every other ponds product. This comes in only one shade which will suit fair to medium skin tones. To my skin, this was a little bit too dark so I can only use it when I have a tan. This stays on the skin for decent amount of time when set with powder and won't fade quickly.

Coming to its claims, it does not give any glow to your face neither does reduce spots. This is just like a normal BB cream with a little bit of coverage. This will kind of blur out the spots but won't completely hide them. It does even out skin tone and does not clog the pores. Most people with oily skin found it light and non oily, but my skin finds this a bit heavy, not too much. It also depends on the humidity of the place you live in, because if it is extremely humid, then nothing will feel light on the skin.

This comes with SPF 30 which is great. So if you are in a hurry and have no time for sunscreen, just slap this onto your skin and you're ready to go. It is perfect to use on a daily basis, but not if you have very oily skin. However, by setting it with a powder and with time to time touch ups, this will stay on oily skin for a decent amount if time.

It has light to medium coverage and a little bit of product goes a long way. You don't have to use a lot. A very little amount is enough. You just have to dot on all over your face and then slap it and blend it. Do not drag the cream with your fingers, as it will cake up the face. Applying too much will also make it look too made up and cakey so always use a little amount and slap it onto to your face and blend it. Avoid this if your skin is too dark or too light. This is somewhere in between and suits most Indian skin tones.

This cream is perfect for everyday use, unless you have extremely oily skin or you live in a very humid area. It is perfect for school or college. Just use a little amount and it will look very natural, but you have to make sure that it matches your skin perfectly.

From my experience, I would rather just use a very light sunscreen and a little bit of concealer and some setting powder and I am ready to go. But if you have normal to dry skin, you can use this. Just use a little bit of moisturizer. Even if you have oily skin you can use it. As I told earlier, it also depends on the humidity and not just the skin type.

I will give this 3.8/5

I would definitely recommend this to everyone with normal to dry skin. You just have to moisturize. You can also use it if you have combination skin, it is perfect on its own. People with extremely oily skin should just set with a powder.

So that is it for this time. I hope you enjoyed reading this post. If you did, then do share it with your friends and give it a ''+1''. Let me know in the comments how it worked for you.

Make sure to subscribe to my blog for more :)

I will see you soon, until then, take care

High School/ College Beauty Essentials.

Hello Everyone! Welcome Back to my blog!

So another academic year is going to start and most of you are joining in high schools or colleges, or it's a fresh new year, so I thought it would be perfect to talk you through some of the beauty essentials that would be essential :P

1. Sunscreen.

It is very important to use a sunscreen every single day! I always stress on this single point because most skin problems you get are because of the sun, which in future will lead to skin cancer. So it a must to use a sunscreen every single say. Especially in college, you will be walking a lot, from one class to another and there is a lot of sun exposure. My favorite sunscreen is the ''Neutrogena" one. I have already reviewed it and I will leave a link for you in the end so you can check that out. If you have dry skin, then you have to moisturize your skin a lot before using a sunscreen because this is a very light one. If you have oily skin, then just the sunscreen would be enough because it might get a bit too heavy to use both.

2. Compact Powder.

You must have a good quality Compact powder with you at all times. Try to get something which has a bit of coverage along with matte properties. Skip the foundation and use a compact powder on the sunscreen. Avoid loose powders for school and college because that stuff can get everywhere. Always keep a little compact handy and touch up if necessary. I will recommend the ''Mac Studio Fix Powder" Or if you are on a budget, you can use the "Lakme Absolute Face Stylist Powder". Let me know in the comments If you want me to review it. :)

3. Face mist.

A face mist is very essential to have. You can spritz it before putting makeup on and skip the toner. You can also use it on makeup to freshen up our face. Thermal spring water is the best. Brands like ''La Roche Posay'' makes amazing face mists. Some even come with SPF. Or you can use something as simple as rose water. Just pour it into a tiny spray bottle and put in your handbag.

4. Blotting sheet/tissue.

You will definitely get oily throughout the day and instead of putting powder on that oil and clogging your pores, blot it with a blotting sheet or you can even use a single sheet of tissue.
This will keep your face from looking like a pure ghee sweet :p

Use a blotting sheet or a tissue paper to blot the oil form your face and mist your face with a face mist and then let it dry and then use a compact. You can also use it the other way, as if, first put some powder and then the mist to get a fresh and natural look.

5. Kohl Pencil& Eyebrow pencil.

If you wear eye makeup everyday, then a kohl pencil is always a good option. You can line your water line or lash line or even tight-line your eyes. It will open up your eyes. I really like the "Lakme eyeconic kajal". Keep both black and brown. If you're a beginner, then brown is always good. If you like it bold and brave, then go for black. You can also fill in your eyebrows with it. Use the brown or mix it with a little bit of black but do not use just the black, as black can make them look a bit too drawn on. You can use a white or a nude pencil for the lower lash line to make your eyes look more awake and less tired.

(I hope you can see the difference)

6. Liquid eyeliner.

You can use this with or without the kohl. If you like to do a cat eye everyday, then this is perfect. I don't know how much makeup you are allowed to wear to school these days, but a thin line, very close to the lash line can make a huge difference too. So, if you're not a kohl person, then you can use a liquid liner, or you can use both or none :P

7. Mascara.

This is very very essential. Literally, if you're running out of time and you do not have the time to do your eye makeup, two coats of mascara will do the thing for you. Use a waterproof one if you live in a humid area. Mascara opens up  your eyes and makes them look awake. Use it on the top lashes and bottom lashes and apply two coats. If you want it to look natural then skip the bottom lashes or use a clear mascara for the bottom lashes. After putting it on your lashes, whatever is left on the wand, just lightly run through your eyebrows. This will make them stay in place all day long.

8. Lipbalm / Lipsticks / Lipgloss.

Most people prefer a lip balm and I would recommend a lip balm too. If you want some color, then use a tinted lip balm and always use something that has a little bit of SPF like the "Maybelline Baby Lips". You can top it off with lipstick or lip gloss. However, I would not recommend on using a lipstick every single day.

9. Eye shadows and blushes.

I would not recommend using eye shadow and blush for everyday to school, but if you want to, then invest in a good nude pallet. Or you can use a peachy nude color blush on your lids as well as on the cheeks to make it look natural. I wouldn't recommend on doing crazy contour or highlight for school everyday. Keep it simple and natural.

10. Tissues.

You will need both wet and dry tissues. Just in case your eye makeup smudges or you went to a party in college and ended up with cake all over your face. Honestly, that happens very frequently than you can think. It is always to good to have them and you can use them for emergencies and also someone else might need one sometimes. Many brands make wet tissues including dettol. You can also use baby wipes. They're quite cheap and easily available.

So that's it for this time. I hope you enjoyed reading this post. If you did, then do share it with your friends and give it a "+1". Let me know in the comments if you have anything else that you think is essential for campus life. Subscribe to my blog for more.

I will see you soon, until then take care.
Bye <3

How to DE-TAN(sun tan) naturally.

Hi Everyone! Welcome to my blog!

So, its summer time which means sun tan, uneven tan, dark spots, redness, etc. We absolutely hate the sun tan. So today, i am going to share my thoughts, a couple of ways which will help you get of rid of that ugly uneven sun tan.

1. Exfoliate.

Exfoliating is very important. It helps remove the layer of dead skin cells and rejuvenate new skin cells. Exfoliating regularly will help the tanned layer slowly fade away. Exfoliate once a week with a body scrub or you can make one at home.
*Add two table spoons of lemon juice to four table spoons of sugar. Mix well. Finished.
Lemon is a natural skin bleaching agent. It will help fade your tan with regular use(not everyday),while the sugar is a great exfoliating agent.
* Mix two parts of coffee powder to one part of water. Mix well.
Coffee is best know for its exfoliating properties. It will make your skin incredibly soft and radiant.

Also coffee helps reduce cellulite.

2. Tomato

Tomato is another skin brightening agent. Cut a tomato into half and rub over the body/tanned area for 10 minutes. Repeat with the other half for another 10 minutes. Do this once a week. Regular use will help fade the tan. This can be used even on the face.

Tomato when rubbed on face refreshes your face and also helps reduce pimples. Regular usage will give a rosy radiance to skin.

3. Lemon

As mentioned above, lemon is a great skin bleaching agent. Do the same process as of the tomato. This can be done twice a week. You can see that your tan is fading from the very first week. Also, lemon has a tendency to dry out your skin so make sure to apply a soothing moisturizer soon after or aloe gel works best. Its  better not to expose to sunlight soon after this, so i recommend on doing this at night, before going to bed.

Half a lemon dipped in sugar shall be rubbed on face to get radiance and also exfoliates skin at the same time.

4. Gram Flour&turmeric

Gram flour is also another agent helps give radiance back to the skin while turmeric helps lighten the skin tone. Make a paste by adding two table spoons of turmeric to four table spoons of gram flour. Add two table spoons of rose water and half a lemon's juice. Mix this well. Add the other half of lemon's juice. Apply this paste on the required area and rub for around 10 minutes or so. DO this after your bath and do not expose to sunlight for at least 30 minutes or one hour if you can.

Turmeric when mixed with water to form a paste, can be applied on pimples to reduce them. You can see over night results

5. Potato

Cut a potato into half  and rub on the required area. You would want to put a little pressure so that its juice comes out. You can also make a potato mash and rub over your skin, but i feel its a bit messy than the first method. Potato also helps reduce the tan and gives radiance to the skin. DO this once a week regularly.

Potato slices when places on eyes give a cooling effect. They also help get rid of dark circles.

You can do any individual step once every week

For best results, all the above 5 steps shall be done for five days, one step each day regularly every week. And beautiful radiant skin is in. <3

General tips to prevent and heal sun tan.

* Wear sunscreen everyday, no matter how cloudy it is. Use one with at least SPF 30 and make sure that it is a broad spectrum sunscreen which will prevent damage from both UVA and UVB rays.

* You would want to use a sunscreen with higher SPF on the face because face is the first part which is hit by the sun.

* Try to wear more clothing if you can... :P of course its hot and we cant but a thin cotton jacket to cover most of your body would help....

* Use a hat if you can, it will not only protect your skin but also your hair..

*Make sure to always carry a sunscreen lotion or a sunscreen mist to just spray after every 2 to 3 hours.

* Use aloe gel to calm and soothe sunburns or redness.

*Drink lots and lots of water to keep yourself hydrated and fresh. Try to avoid carbonated drinks and milk shakes. Opt for lemonades and energy drinks.

Hope you found the blog helpful. If you did, please share it with your friends. If you have any other ways to fade suntan, do let me know in the comments and also if you have tried any of the above, do let me know. <3

Until then I hope you guys are doing well.

I will see you soon. Take care

Review: Banjaras 15 Minute Face Pack with Multani+Saffron

Hello everybody! How are you doing? Welcome to my blog.

Today I am back with another review. In this hot summer, I prefer putting on a nice soothing face pack 2-3 times a week, and I have tried a lot and since I have oily skin, it is hard to find something that will soothe your skin and at the same time reduce oiliness and acne. So something that has worked for me is the ''Banjaras 15 Minute Face Pack with Multani+Saffron"

Product Description;
Banjara's 15 Minute Face Pack with Multani+Saffron for Clear and Radiant Skin is a unique blend of Multani Mitti and Saffron extract to give you Clear and Radiant skin. Multani Mitti cleanses the skin, absorbs excess oil, opens up the pores, reduces pimples, marks and counteracts the effect of tanning to make your skin Clear. Saffron lightens the skin, enhances the complexion to make your skin Radiant.

Say Good Bye to your skin problems in just 15 minutes with Banjara's 15 Minute Face Pack with Multani+Saffron.

Key Ingredients: Multani Mitti, Saffron.
Each gram contains; Extract: Kesara (Crocus Sativus) 0.10mg.
(Bhavaprakasha)

Directions for use: Wash your face and neck with Banjara's Face wash. Apply evenly on the face and neck, avoiding the eye area and mouth . Allow it to dry for 10 to 15 minutes. Wash off with water.

For best results; Use twice a week.
Suitable for all skin types.

Price: Rs 100/- for 100 grams

Shell Life: 2 Years

Whoo! That was a long description.

So, this face pack has a very soft and a little creamy runny consistency(kind of in between) and it is in the color of sand:P or whatever that color is called. It does give a cooling effect on the skin and dries in around 10 minutes. Feels good on the skin and does tingle a bit. Very little, not too much and that is completely normal for most face packs. The sensation however does not last for a long time and this leaves the skin feeling super soft and smooth.

Coming to what it claims, it does control excess oil secretion up to some extent and reduce the size of the pimples and pores from the first use. However, it did not do anything to the
existing old dark spots. However, with time, this does reduce the dark spots and sun spots. It reduces the appearance of pores and hence reduces oiliness. This does not give any fairness to the skin, however it does fade away the tan. I am not into whitening products anyway so that claim is not a big deal. However it takes a little bit of time to get rid of all the uneven skin. If you have uneven tan lines on the face, you an use this and with time it will fade away the uneven tone and make your skin soft, clear and even. It does take a little bit of time for it to work. Don't expect it to give you flawless skin from the very first use.

With regular use, this face pack can make your skin flawless and even. It did help me in getting rid of uneven skin tone and is slowly working on my pimples and spots too. This is completely natural and doesn't not have any harsh chemicals in it. Banjaras products always have natural ingredients however, there is no complete list of ingredients. It only has the key ingredient list. But, this is a natural product and is not very harsh, so I am hoping that it will suit most people and will not react in a harmful to anyone,or at least to most people.

You can still use this if you have dry skin, as this makes the skin super super soft. It is hard for oily skinned people to have smooth and oil free skin at the same time, but this pack makes it possible. You have to use it regularly to improve the quality of your skin. If you have extremely dry skin, you can get away by using this once a week. Oily skinned beauties on the other hand need to use it 2-3 times a week.

Pros
Controls Oil.
Reduces pimples and sun spots.
Reduces the appearance of pores.
Gets rid of uneven tan lines.
Gives a subtle glow.
Makes the skin super soft and smooth.
Does not dry out the skin.
Has natural ingredients.

Cons
No complete ingredients list :(

I will give this Face Pack 4.7/5

I could have given it 5 but I don't feel like this is the best pack ever.

I will recommend this to everyone with or without skin issues because this makes your skin very soft and adds a beautiful subtle glow to it.

So, that is it for this time. I hope enjoyed reading this. If you did, then please do share it with your friends and give it a ''+1".

If you have used this face pack, then let me know in the comments how it worked for you :)

I will see you soon, until then take care.
Bye <3

Review: Head & Shoulders Anti-dandruff shampoo-Cool Menthol

Hello Everyone, so as mentioned in my previous post, I am going to be reviewing the "Head and Shoulders Cool Menthol Shampoo''.

Product Description:
Head & Shoulders
anti-dandruff shampoo
cool menthol

Directions: Shake before use. Wet hair. Gently massage onto scalp. Lather and rinse thoroughly. Repeat if desired.

Caution: Avoid contact with eyes. If this happens. Rinse thoroughly with water.

Ingredients: Water, Sodium Lauryl Sulphate. Sodium Laureth Sulphate, Sodium Chloride, Glycol Distearate, Zinc Carbonate, Sodium Xylenesulfonate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Dimethicone, Zinc Pyrothione, Fragrance, Menthol, Sodium Benzoate, Guar Hydroxypopyltrimonium Chloride, Hexyl Cinnamal, Linalool, Magnesium Carbonate Hydroxide, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Cl 42090, Cl 17200

As a young girl, I never really had this issue of a flaky scalp, because I use to oil my hair every  single day. As I grew up, I didn't really have the time to oil it everyday. And that is when I started to get a very flaky scalp, and very recently, it has been at its worst. So, that is when I came across this shampoo, and I must tell you that now this is my absolute favorite. This feels like ice cubes running on my scalp when I shampoo and makes my scalp feel very fresh. I enjoy this a lot. It feels like I can massage my hair with this forever. The freshness lasts for up to two days, and I wash my hair normally, after every 2-3 days.

My hair feels amazing when I use this. I shampoo twice when I have oil on my hair and only once when I do not have oil or any other product. It does a good job of getting rid of any product build-up and thoroughly cleanses the scalp. When used regularly for a week or two, you will get rid of all the dandruff that you have. However, you can see visible results from the first wash itself. This is perfect for the summer as it makes the scalp super fresh. I absolutely love it!

Unlike most Anti-dandruff shampoos, this doesn't make the hair dry. In fact my hair feels even smoother, softer and shiny. (when I oil my hair before washing it). And I get this result without using a conditioner.

Somehow I feel that my hair feels better without the conditioner. I have very fine and long hair. Is my hair supposed to feel better without the conditioner? Let me know in the comments.
Also let me know how this shampoo worked for you in the comments.

Pros;
Gets rid of Dandruff with just one wash.
Makes hair and scalp feel fresh.
Does not dry the hair.
Gives a nice minty feeling on scalp.
Makes hair smooth.

Cons;
None.

I would give this shampoo 5/5 :D <3

I will recommend this to everyone who is experiencing a flaky scalp in the summer. You can also use in the winter but it is perfect for the summer only because of the cooling feel it gives on the scalp.

Thank you so much for reading. I hope you enjoyed it. If you did, then please do you share it with your friends and give it a ''+1'' and subscribe for more.

How to get rid of Dandruff.

Hello Everyone, Welcome back to my blog. Today I am going to do a little post about dandruff and how to get rid of it. Keep reading to know.

So, Dandruff is nothing but pieces of dry and dead skin cells of our scalp. It is a very common condition and also causes itching. It is mostly due to dry scalp and not washing your hair regularly. It can also be due to certain conditions of your scalp, illness or diet.

So usually I would use an anti-dandruff shampoo to get rid of my dandruff. My favorite is the ''Head And Shoulders Cool Menthol" shampoo. A review of it will be coming soon.
Sometimes, when the dandruff is at its worst, just shampooing wont work. So, I am going to share what can be done before shampooing to reduce the appearance of flakes.

Just warm up some coconut or oil or olive oil or just any oil that works for you. Massage onto scalp for a good five minutes. This will increase the blood circulation and make your hair healthy. Do this every time before you wash your hair and it will make your hair look and feel good and also reduce dandruff. Do this at east one hour before you wash your hair or overnight if you can. Regular oiling is very beneficial for your hair. It will thank you in the future.

What you can also do is add around two table spoons of lemon juice to 4 table spoons of curd. Mix this well and apply it your scalp. This is an effective mask to get rid of dandruff. You can do this once or twice a week depending on how much  your dandruff is. Leave it on for at least 20 minutes and then rinse with water. Shampoo and condition as normal. This helps reduce the flakes and also reduces itching. It is very effective and when done regularly for once a week, your hair will feel amazing and there will be zero dandruff.

Avoid itching your hair as that can make the dandruff even worse.

Have  healthy diet with lots of protein and drink lots of water to maintain good condition of hair.

Okay guys so that is it. This was kind of a very quick little post before my next review which is for the shampoo I mentioned earlier. So subscribe to get notified by email.

If you try the above method, let me know in the comments how it worked for you.

If you enjoyed reading this then please do share it with your friends and give it a '+1'

I will see you soon, until then take care.
Bye <3
