Review: Livon Silky Potion Detangling Hair Fluid & Parachute Jasmine Non-Sticky Coconut Hair Oil.

Hi guys, Welcome back to my blog!
Today, I am going to be reviewing two of my absolutely favorite and affordable hair products. I use them a lot and they are my HG products and I absolutely love them. They're even very easy to get hold of. They're available in every local store, drugstore and departmental stores of India. I've already shown them in my previous post and now I will be reviewing them both.

Livon Serum.

Product Description:
Livon Silky Potion Detangling Hair Fluid.
Instantly softens and smoothens dry, rough, tangled, frizzy, unmanageable hair.

Ingredients:
Cyclomethicone, Dimethiconol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Mineral oil.

Price
Rs 200/- for 100 ml.
You can get even tiny bottles as small as 20 ml which I believe is 40/-rs.

Shell Life
3 Years.

This serum by Livon is more like a leave on conditioner. It can be applied on both wet and dry hair. When i say wet hair, I don't mean soaking wet. Your hair should be damp. It has a little fragrance to it which I cannot to compare to anything. It's like a typical product smell. But when applied to hair the fragrance vanishes. Coming to what it claims, it does make the hair very soft and smooth. It does detangle hair up to some extent. It makes detangling a lot easier. It also adds a little bit of beautiful sheen to the hair. However, it doesn't do anything to reduce the frizz. Also, when applied too much, it weighs down the hair because it has mineral oil in it. Basically it has only silicons to it. So you should use a clarifying shampoo to get rid of the silicone. It can be uses as a heat protectant when using a blow dryer but I wouldn't recommend on using it alone when using direct heat. It can applied on damp hair to detangle. 2-3 drops are enough for hair which goes below the shoulder. When the hair gets completely dry and you've styled it, you can one drop if it to give that extra sheen. Always apply from mid lengths to the end of the hair.

Pros;
Softens and smoothens hair.
Detangles hair.
Add a little bit of sheen.
Protects the hair from indirect heat.

Cons;
Does not control frizz.
Weighs down the hair when applied too much.
Builds up on hair after using it for a period of time.
Can make the hair even more frizzy(use a clarifying shampoo once in a while to prevet excess frizz.)

I would recommend this to people who are on a budget and want to give their hair a little bit of sheen and make it soft and smooth.

I will give it a 3.8/5

Parachute Jasmine Non-Sticky Coconut Hair Oil

Product Description
Parachute Advanced Jasmine
For softer and Shinier Hair.
Non -Stick Coconut Hair Oil

Ingredients
Mineral oil(79.7% v/v)
Coconut oil(20% v/v)
Fragrance with Jasmine Extract
Benzophenone-3
Type of material;
Type 3 perfumed hair oil.

Price
Rs 39/- for 90 ml.
Bigger sizes are available.

Shell Life
3 Years

This is basically a non sticky hair oil as you can already tell by its name. It has more oils on it than silicons. It is very affordable and safe. It is safe to use on the scalp too, but I still wouldn't recommend on using it in the scalp. It might cause hair fall. Always use it from mid lengths to the ends. Now, this adds a ton of shine to the hair. When first applied it feels a bit  sticky, but it absorbs dry and makes your hair super shiny. For hair that goes below the shoulder 2-3 drops would be enough. Just like livon. Do not apply too much because it has almost 80% of mineral oil and it can weigh down your hair. If you've either curled your hair or made soft waves, you better skip this and choose livon  because this is going to weigh down your hair. But if you've gone for super straight sleek hair, then use it and this will add a ton of shine to your hair. It has jasmine extracts in it, so the oil smells like jasmine and that smells stays on the hair for a pretty long time, and makes the hair super soft.  Its not very strong. I really like the smell of jasmine. Avoid if you cant take the smell(Its not very strong). I like to use it on two day old hair. On one day old hair, i use livon, and the next day, i would probably use a normal sticky oil and wash my hair. That's how long I can keep my hair unwashed.

Pros
Softens the hair.
Adds a ton of sheen to the hair.
Makes the hair look super sleek.
Smells of jasmine which i like.
Does not cause any frizz.
Does not build up.

Cons
Weighs down the hair if applied too much.
Can make the hair look a bit thin if applies too much

I would recommend this to everyone. Just do not apply it to the scalp. If you want a good amount of volume, then probably skip this and use livon.

I will give it a 4/5

Okay, So that is it for this time. I hope enjoyed reading my blog, if you did then please do give it '+1' and subscribe for more.

How often to wash your hair.

Hi guys, welcome back to my blog. Today I thought I should talk about hair. Hair is the one thing that every girl loves. Admit it, we all love our hair and try to take care of it as much as possible. But when it comes to how often we should wash it, its always a big confusion. So, today, I a going to share with you guys how to take care of your hair.

Now when it comes to how often you should wash it, it completely depends on your hair, the humidity of your city and the length of your hair. Some of us have very thin and fine hair, while the others have thick and voluminous hair. Some of us have smooth hair while the others have silky hair. So, there is no such thing in common for everyone on how often to wash your hair. Some people say that we should not wash your hair everyday. Even i would say that. But in some extreme cases, where the humidity is high, and you have very fine hair or maybe you workout everyday and sweat a lot on your scalp; when these three are the things that happen everyday, then of course you need to wash your hair everyday. On the other hand, if you have very thick hair and the humidity is very less where you live and you don't seem to sweat a lot everyday, then you can wash your hair as late as once or twice a week. If you are in neither of the category, i.e, your hair is neither too thick and nor too thin and the weather is confusing, then you might wanna wash your hair every two or three days. On the days when you are not washing your hair, you can use a dry shampoo or baby powder to reduce the greasiness. You can also use a blow drier on a cold setting to give a little bounce to your hair on the days when you are not gonna wash it. That's the most safe and convenient way as there is no damage from the heat or the products.

Usually the hair gets more oily in the summer time than in the winter, so i would say wash your hair more often in the summer and less in the winter. In the winter, your scalp is usually more on the drier side. Do a hot oil treatment at home an hour before or the night before washing the hair.

Hot oil treatment:

Take Two tablespoons of coconut/olive oil in a bowl and microwave it for 15 seconds. Take a little bit and apply it to the scalp and thoroughly massage for 10 minutes and then bring it down. Put your hair up in a shower cap. Wait for an hour or overnight if you can, then shampoo and condition as normal.

Always use a serum after washing your hair. Take 2-3 drops and rub it to your hair form mid lengths to the ends of your hair. This will de-tangle your hair much easier. Never use serum on your scalp. That can cause hair fall. There a special serums meant for your scalp.

On one or two day old hair, use a leave on conditioner or a non sticky hair oil. A non sticky hair oil can actually be applied on your scalp, but I wouldn't recommend on doing that. Always apply from mid lengths to ends of the hair and what is the left on the hands can be rubbed at the top of your hair.

So, it completely depends on your hair and the place where you live in and your lifestyle to decide how often you should be washing your hair. You might not be living in a humid area, but if you are doing vigorous exercise like cardio for two hours daily, then you might wanna wash your hair every other day. Just blow dry with cold air when your not washing it or use dry shampoo, or if you can't take all that sweat for one whole day, then just wash it everyday, but make sure that you use a little bit of oil before you wash it.

General tips;

* Do not use heat on your hair everyday. Heat can damage your hair ripping it of its keratin and make it  dry and rough.

* Never skip oiling your hair. Regular oiling is very good for your hair and makes its super soft and healthy.

* Get regular trims to avoid split end. Trim every 3 months. Prevention is better.

* Do not sleep with your hair open.  Tie it into a bun or a loose braid and try to use a satin pillow case to reduce the friction.

Okay guys, that is it for this time. I hope enjoyed reading my blog and found it helpful. If you did, then please do share it with your friends and give it "+1" and subscribe for more. :)

Best lipsticks and blushes for the spring and summer.

Hi guys, welcome back to my blog.

Today i am going to be sharing with you guys some of my favorite lipsticks and blushes for the spring and for the summer, because it is that time of the year. Everything is very colorful and i am loving the weather. It is the most prettiest time of the year i must say and i am absolutely loving it. So lets get started.

I've put in both drugstore and high end products so that i can have something for everybody out there.

I am gonna start with blushes.

1. MAC Harmony

MAC blushes are awesome. The "Harmony" by mac is beautiful color. It's an all year round color but on the days when you are in a hurry or if you are feeling lazy to do the whole hog, then you can just sweep some of the mac harmony on your cheeks. When you have this on, you wont need a blusher or highlighter. Its a lovely color. Its pink, peach and brown and looks beautiful and its best when worn without any other blusher, bronzer or highlighter.

2. Estee lauder pink tease (satin)

Estee lauder is another lovely brand. I love their packagings. Estee lauder in tease in my absolute favorite but it was a limited edition. What i also love is their pink tease(satin) one. It is a beautiful color with a hint of mauve in it and looks perfect when brushed on the apples of the cheeks. You can add little bit of highlight if you want to. It is sooo pretty and pretty much suits every skin tone.

3. Maybelline dream touch blush in berry.

Maybelline makes awesome blushes as well.I love their cream blushes. They are so pretty. Since they are cream blushes, you can wear them till the end of summer and they will not disappear mid day. They are gonna stay on your cheeks until you remove them. Kind of like a cheek stain but a subtler version. I love the maybelline dream touch in berry. It is a gorgeous color. Its like a baby pink with some sheen to it and just a little bit of plum undertone. It looks amazing on all skin types and you can all together skip the highlighter if you want to.

4. Faces  glam on blush in cocktail peach.

This blush is a corally peach one as you can tell by the name.It does not have sheen to it, but it does have little shimmer particles which you cant even see when applied. It sometimes  appears shiny in photos but mostly it looks almost matte on the skin. Its amazing for both day and night and i love it.

5. Lakme absolute blusher in Day blushes and night sparkle.

Lakme blushes in day blushes and night sparkle are two of my favorite blushes from this range. One is more of shiny one and the other has shimmer in it. I love to use them both, like the day blushes in the morning and night sparkle for the night. The names are very apt and I really like them. Both are pink tones ones.

  .

These are the top 5 blushes. Now lets move on to the lipstick top picks!

1. MAC see sheer

This is a beautiful peach shade with a hint of coral in it. It has a glossy finish and looks amazing for all skin tones. It is amazing as an everyday lipstick. You can wear it day and night, daily or occasionally. I love this lipstick. You can literally live the season with this one lipstick.

2. Mac mehr.

This one is similar to the one above. Its not that glossy. And it has a hint of plum tone to it. Its more on the nude side. Its a creamy lipstick. Its perfect for the day time. You can wear this during the day and see sheer during the night. I of course love to mix the two together.

3. L'Oreal Paris Shine Caresse Lip color in Eve 605.

This is a dark berry pink color from this range. It looks beautiful when you have a little bit of tan and your wearing a pretty dress. It looks beautiful all the time though. It would be perfect for a beach party, or for night time party. It is a gloss, and it is a stain. This stays on your lips for super long time and i absolutely love the applicator of this, it has a lot of precision. It smells very floral, which i like, but avoid this if you cant take floral smell. Although that doesn't linger for a long time. Overall it's my favorite. Also, it appears red when swiped multiple times.

4. Revlon just bitten kissable balm stain in cherish 015

This a balm stain. But it is a bit drying, so you should use a lip balm underneath. However, it stays for a good amount of time. Although it is called "Balm Stain" It doesn't work as any. However, i must say that it says on the lips for a decent amount of time and would survive a light meal. You might wanna touch up as it fades away, but this doesn't settle into the lines. Cherish is a beautiful bubblegum baby pink shade with a little bit of mauve to it. It also smells of bubblegum, but that lasts only for  a minute. I don't at all mind the smell of it. It slightly tingles on the lips for a minute and then its fine.

5. Maybelline super stay 14hr lipstick in ultimate blush.

This is a beautiful lipstick by maybelline. It is a corally peachy pinky nude shade and it is a kind of a matte lipstick. I love its color. Its a perfect lipstick for everyday wear. It stays for a good amount of time on the lips.  It looks pretty good on almost all the skin tones and is very natural. I love maybelline lipstcks on the whole and this one is my favorite.

So, i think that is pretty much it. Thank you so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed it and found this helpful. If you did, then please share it with your friends and give it a "+1" and subscribe to my blog for more.

I will see you guys soon, until then take care :)
Bye <3

Get Spring Ready!

Hi guys, Welcome back to my blog! I know it has been ages since i wrote a post! But now i'm back! And this time I am most probably gonna stay.

So this is kind of a late post. Its already spring and i am posting about it now. I am sorry because i have been so busy!

So, Firstly lets see what we can do to our room to make it look more spring appropriate.

Start off with your bed.

That's the first thing you or just everybody would see after getting back. We just wanna throw everything on the floor and take a nap!
Change your bed sheets and pillow cases from a classic white one  to something which has more bright colors. Floral prints are my personal favorite because it is the time of the year when we can see a lot of beautiful and colorful flowers. That can make your mood go from a
:( to a :D

Decorate your wall.

Christmas is over. Long ago! No more red and green. I mean you can have them if you like them. Adding some beautiful prints on your wall would be amazing. You can also go for a wallpaper or just some prints and frames. You can also make something DIY and stick it to your wall. The world is so creative.

Reorganize your closet.

It is the time to get colorful everywhere, even with your clothes. Pack all those boring mono colored clothes. You can take them out again in autumn. Fill your closet with some beautiful dresses, skirts and crop tops. Pink, brown and yellows are my personal favorite. Your closet will look so springy:p.  You can again, go for floral prints, geometric prints(more on the girly side) and nature printed ones. But if that's not your style, then you can definitely go for jeans or denim shorts with a printed top and denim jacket over. Pair it up with boots and a hat and you'll look gorgeous.  ;)

Bits and pieces
You can little bits like teddy's and stuff here and there to make your room look more cute.

The ultimate spring feel!
Here is the fun part. Add some fragrance. Either by a room spray or a candle. I like candles. They are fun. Floral fragrances are the best for this time. My personal favorite is jasmine. Light a candle of your favorite fragrance.

You've made your room looking super cute.
Now it time for your own self.
It is my favorite part! Spring makeup!
We've been wearing a lot of red lip in the winter. It is finally the season for nudes, pinks, browns and peaches. They are so adorable and look so pretty. I love spring lipsticks!
The above mentioned are the classic colors that we would usually prefer in the spring. You can also go a light plum, bright pinks and MAUVE! My HG lipstick shade for the spring.

For the base, swap your foundation to a lightweight bb cream or a tinted moisturizer. Try not to use something that look very cakey on the skin. Go for something which is light and sheer and gives a natural finish.

Sweat and matte don't look good. Use something with a dewy finish. And don't at all over powder. You can cream blushes and bronzer for a long lasting finish and just set them with a little bit of powder.

You don't have to do it exactly this way. You can spend spring however you want to. These are just my views. If you are not much of a spring person or you don't like spring, its completely fine:)

A post would be coming soon on spring lipsticks and blushes, so subscribe to my blog to get notified. :)

Alrighty, Thats it for this time. I hope you enjoyed this post and i'm sorry that it is late. If you found this helpful or useful in anyway the please do give it a "+1". For more, subscribe to my blog!

Thank you.
I will see you soon, until then take care
