Hi guys, Welcome back to my blog!
Livon Serum.
Product Description:
Livon Silky Potion Detangling Hair Fluid.
Instantly softens and smoothens dry, rough, tangled, frizzy, unmanageable hair.
Ingredients:
Cyclomethicone, Dimethiconol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Mineral oil.
Price
Rs 200/- for 100 ml.
You can get even tiny bottles as small as 20 ml which I believe is 40/-rs.
Shell Life
3 Years.
This serum by Livon is more like a leave on conditioner. It can be applied on both wet and dry hair. When i say wet hair, I don't mean soaking wet. Your hair should be damp. It has a little fragrance to it which I cannot to compare to anything. It's like a typical product smell. But when applied to hair the fragrance vanishes. Coming to what it claims, it does make the hair very soft and smooth. It does detangle hair up to some extent. It makes detangling a lot easier. It also adds a little bit of beautiful sheen to the hair. However, it doesn't do anything to reduce the frizz. Also, when applied too much, it weighs down the hair because it has mineral oil in it. Basically it has only silicons to it. So you should use a clarifying shampoo to get rid of the silicone. It can be uses as a heat protectant when using a blow dryer but I wouldn't recommend on using it alone when using direct heat. It can applied on damp hair to detangle. 2-3 drops are enough for hair which goes below the shoulder. When the hair gets completely dry and you've styled it, you can one drop if it to give that extra sheen. Always apply from mid lengths to the end of the hair.
Pros;
Softens and smoothens hair.
Detangles hair.
Add a little bit of sheen.
Protects the hair from indirect heat.
Cons;
Does not control frizz.
Weighs down the hair when applied too much.
Builds up on hair after using it for a period of time.
Can make the hair even more frizzy(use a clarifying shampoo once in a while to prevet excess frizz.)
I would recommend this to people who are on a budget and want to give their hair a little bit of sheen and make it soft and smooth.
I will give it a 3.8/5

This is basically a non sticky hair oil as you can already tell by its name. It has more oils on it than silicons. It is very affordable and safe. It is safe to use on the scalp too, but I still wouldn't recommend on using it in the scalp. It might cause hair fall. Always use it from mid lengths to the ends. Now, this adds a ton of shine to the hair. When first applied it feels a bit sticky, but it absorbs dry and makes your hair super shiny. For hair that goes below the shoulder 2-3 drops would be enough. Just like livon. Do not apply too much because it has almost 80% of mineral oil and it can weigh down your hair. If you've either curled your hair or made soft waves, you better skip this and choose livon because this is going to weigh down your hair. But if you've gone for super straight sleek hair, then use it and this will add a ton of shine to your hair. It has jasmine extracts in it, so the oil smells like jasmine and that smells stays on the hair for a pretty long time, and makes the hair super soft. Its not very strong. I really like the smell of jasmine. Avoid if you cant take the smell(Its not very strong). I like to use it on two day old hair. On one day old hair, i use livon, and the next day, i would probably use a normal sticky oil and wash my hair. That's how long I can keep my hair unwashed.
Pros
Softens the hair.
Adds a ton of sheen to the hair.
Makes the hair look super sleek.
Smells of jasmine which i like.
Does not cause any frizz.
Does not build up.
Cons
Weighs down the hair if applied too much.
Can make the hair look a bit thin if applies too much
I would recommend this to everyone. Just do not apply it to the scalp. If you want a good amount of volume, then probably skip this and use livon.
I will give it a 4/5

Today, I am going to be reviewing two of my absolutely favorite and affordable hair products. I use them a lot and they are my HG products and I absolutely love them. They're even very easy to get hold of. They're available in every local store, drugstore and departmental stores of India. I've already shown them in my previous post and now I will be reviewing them both.
